Blind Spot Monitors

Installed into Articulated Trailers

Blind spot monitor

A Blind spot monitor is just one of many essential safety devices that we install as standard safety equipment on articulated trailers.
Our Blind spot monitors or blind spot detection systems are designed to assist the driver in seeing what is happening in hidden-from-view areas and in so doing minimise the risk of accidents. This in turn makes for a less stressful driving experience protecting both the vehicle, its load, and the people and things around the vehicle.

Whilst a blind spot monitoring system is a significant aid to safety during manoeuvring and especially reversing, it also makes driving that much safer on the road. When lane changing, for example, the system will alert the driver to any vehicle that has entered its blind spot area keeping everyone and everything that much safer.
From a health and safety viewpoint, the installation of this safety device reduces the strain on the driver’s neck when trying to check blind spots.

How does blind spot detection work?

The way a blind spot monitor works is through a sensor device on the vehicle that detects other vehicles moving past a certain spot of your car. This sensor then sends out a warning that can either be through a light, a vibra on or a sound depending on what is requested.
These blind spot detection systems not only help you stay safe on the road and off the road but they also just make life a little bit easier. Gone are the days of straining your neck to check no one is getting too close to your vehicle – blind spot monitoring systems can now do the hard work for you.
