Direct Vision Standard cameras
As of March 1st 2021, anyone operating HGVs inside the M25 require a DVS permit and for those vehicles over 12 tonnes there is the added requirement of an HGV Safety Permit to enter London. The Direct Vision Standard has been created to ensure cyclists and pedestrians are safer when using the roads and streets. To qualify for these permits your HGV’s have to be fitted with DVS compliant cameras.
